What Ahmednasir Has Said After Somalia's State Minister Was Found Traveling With A Kenyan Passport

Lawyer Ahmednasir Abdullahi has raised concerns over a growing pattern involving Somali officials traveling on Kenyan passports.

According to Ahmednasir, this marks the second such incident within a short period. He referenced an earlier case involving Somalia's Deputy Prime Minister, who was also reported to have traveled using a Kenyan passport.

Ahmednasir questioned the circumstances surrounding the latest case involving a Somali cabinet minister found with a similar document. He expressed disbelief at the recurring nature of the issue, describing it as troubling.

The lawyer went further to question whether former Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud might also be traveling on a Kenyan passport. His remarks suggested a broader concern about the extent of the practice among senior Somali officials.

Ahmednasir's comments come shortly after reports emerged that Somalia's State Minister at the Presidency, Abshir Bukhaari, was denied entry into Kenya and deported back to Mogadishu over the passport in question.
