"Find Your Way Into Nairobi CBD & Address Gen-Zs the Way Raila Used to do" Edwin Sifuna Told

Former Law Society of Kenya President Nelson Havi has ignited fresh political debate after publicly challenging Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna to take a more active role in engaging the country's Gen Z movement.

Havi argued that Sifuna should emulate veteran opposition leader Raila Odinga’s traditional style of politics by physically stepping into public spaces and directly speaking to young protesters and citizens.

According to Havi, moments of political change require leaders to leave boardrooms and television studios and connect with citizens on the ground.

His statement, “Sifuna, you must do what Raila Odinga used to do. Find your way into an appropriate centre within Nairobi and address the Gen Zs,” has sparked discussion over whether modern politicians are adequately responding to the energy and concerns of young Kenyans.

Meanwhile, do you agree with Nelson Havi's message to Sifuna and entire Opposition leaders considering that they are plotting to challenge Ruto for presidency come 2027?
