President William Ruto has reportedly been cautioned by political analyst Mutahi Ngunyi, who claims that there is a figure capable of destabilising his administration.
According to Ngunyi, Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua is at the centre of the challenges facing the President.
He further alleged that former President Uhuru Kenyatta and Russian interests are influencing events behind the scenes, describing Gachagua as a “ticking time bomb” within Ruto’s inner circle. In his remarks, he said: “Dear Ruto: Your PROBLEM is Riggy G. Uhuru and the Russians are just his MASTERS.”
Ngunyi made these comments shortly after Gachagua, who is based in Mombasa, publicly criticised the National Intelligence Service over recent protests.
Gachagua argued that the agency, led by Noordin Haji, failed to provide prior intelligence about the planned demonstrations, which he linked to the controversial images that emerged.
He went further to call for Haji’s resignation, saying a more competent replacement should be appointed. His remarks have sparked mixed reactions from Kenyans, with some pointing to deeper leadership divisions within the UDA camp.
Observers note that the two leaders appear to be speaking from different perspectives, highlighting growing tensions and inconsistencies in their political messaging.
