President William Ruto has stirred political tension after openly expressing dissatisfaction with some junior politicians in his party.
According to unnamed sources who spoke to the The Standard Newspaper, the Head of State is reportedly unhappy with recent exchanges between leaders in the Mt. Kenya and Rift Valley regions and former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua.
The insiders further suggest that President Ruto is closely monitoring the situation and may soon take official steps against those he believes are fueling divisions between him and Gachagua.
Although the President’s next move remains uncertain, the developments are seen as having the potential to reshape the political landscape if tensions continue to escalate.
This comes shortly after Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi responded to criticism linked to his political activities, urging those uncomfortable with him to avoid his company.
He maintained that he is simply following the example set by President Ruto, describing himself as a “student” of the Head of State and saying he moves freely in his political engagements, including attending church events and fundraising activities.
He further argued that everyone has the freedom to choose where to go, while suggesting that his boldness and generosity have unsettled some leaders, as reported by the Nation Media Group.
