Ex CS Eugene Wamalwa Forced to Cut Short Speech as 'Tutam' Chants Rents The Air in Matungu, Kakamega

Addressing hundreds of residents in Matungu Constituency, Kakamega County. Former Cabinet Secretary Eugene Wamalwa was accompanied by a section of leaders allied to him. 

Led by ex-DP Rigathi Gachagua, Kalonzo Musyoka, among others, was today forced to cut short his speech after a section of the crowd broke into rival 'tutam' chants. Chants associated with the UDA party.

The leaders had toured the region to drum up support for their quest that seeks to decampaign President William Ruto, who is seeking re-election in 2027.

In the viral video as shared online. Ex-CS Eugene Wamalwa is seen asking the crowd whether they belong to his political side characterized by 'Wantam' or President Ruto's 'Tutam' faction.
